Apple Pay and Google Pay, and the counter that no longer asks for your card

Version 2.1.0 brings Apple Pay and Google Pay to all app charges: bookings, passes, and registrations. Save your card once and it works in any organization, payment is confirmed without leaving the screen, and the pass appears instantly. At the counter, the club sends the request and you confirm it on your phone. Also, an unpaid booking no longer opens the door, canceling within the period refunds, and on Android, email links open the app.

What's new in this version

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay: pay for a booking, a pass, or a registration with your phone, without typing your card number.

Before You had to enter the 16 digits, expiry date, and CVV for every purchase, even if you were the same regular user.

Now Two taps and your fingerprint or face. The fastest way to pay is also the one that exposes your data the least.

  • Saved card, valid across all your organizations: save it once and it appears on your next purchase, even at another club.

Before Every purchase started from scratch, and those who belong to multiple organizations repeated the process in each one.

Now Payment stops being a chore and becomes a confirmation.

  • Payment no longer takes you out of the app: it's confirmed on the same screen and you return right where you were.

Before When paying, the app reloaded entirely and you landed on a generic screen, with the feeling that something had gone wrong.

Now The flow closes where it started, and you see your purchase right away.

  • Your pass appears the moment you buy it, and if the bank takes a second, the app tells you instead of claiming a hollow success.

Before It said 'purchase completed' and the pass list appeared without the newly bought pass; you only saw it after restarting the app.

Now What you buy, you have. And if something takes time, you're told honestly.

  • Counter payment without asking for your card: the club sends the request and you confirm it on your own phone with Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Before Paying with a card at the club's terminal forced you to type your details on someone else's phone.

Now Your data doesn't go through anyone else's phone, and the counter doesn't get stuck waiting.

  • An unpaid booking no longer opens the facility door.

Before You could create a booking, close the app without paying, and still open the door with your phone during the reserved slot.

Now Access and payment no longer go down separate paths.

  • It's impossible to charge twice for the same booking: the terminal no longer offers it as pending if it's paid, and canceling within the period refunds the money.

Before A booking paid by card still appeared as pending at the terminal, and canceling it didn't refund anything.

Now One sale, one charge. And the cancellation period is honored without having to claim.

  • On Android, invitation, email verification, and password reset links open the app directly.

Before Those links opened the browser, which asked you to log in again and lost the context of the email.

Now One tap from the email and you're in, just like on iPhone.

  • Your club's name appears on your bank statement, alongside Reserving's.

Before In the bank, you only saw 'RESERVING.APP', so it wasn't obvious what the charge corresponded to.

Now You recognize the charge without having to reconstruct from memory what you booked.

Who benefits

Anyone who pays for something in Reserving — a court, a class, a pass, a registration — and the organizations that charge for it, both from the app and at their counter.
